Narcissistic Personality Disorder, A Serious Mental Disorder

Narcissistic personality disorder is a condition characterised by persistent behaviour that interferes with developing normal relationships and functioning in society, a disorder in which a person has an inflated sense of self importance. Narcissism is the pursuit of gratification from vanity or egotistic admiration of one's idealised self image and attributes. This includes self-flattery, perfectionism and arrogance. In this condition young narcissus fell in love with his own image reflected in a pool of water. Narcissistic personality disorder, one of the several types of personality disorders, is a mental condition in which people have a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism.
