SUE LINCOLN’S prolific speed horse Happy Boy continued a successful partnership with Rachel Proudley, winning the first day’s FMBs Therapy Systems 1.30m two-phase and coming second to Eve McCoy (Cocktail D’Azur) in the following day’s 1.30m.
Sixteen-year-old Happy Boy was originally owned by Paul Barker and was then sold to Sue, who offered Rachel the ride around a year ago.
“Being a speed horse is his job and he knows his job inside out and absolutely loves it,” Rachel said. “The faster you go, the better he jumps and he gives you so much confidence that you go in the ring more confident on the others.”
