There is something about the ‘S’ badge from Mercedes-Benz that makes every comfort seeker gravitate towards it. The EQS sedan then was the gateway to this if one wanted to go green. However, SUVs are the trend in India and many wanted the same features and luxuries found in the Mercedes-Benz EQS but in an SUV package. Behold the EQS SUV then. Priced at a mega Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom), this electric SUV has a lot to deliver. Here is what it offers and how it feels to drive and be driven in.
The EQS SUV is a rather large vehicle. It measures 5,136mm in length, is 1,965mm wide and stands at 1,718mm in height. The wheelbase too is a rather long 3,210mm. But this big SUV incorporates a sleek exterior design, now synonymous with MercedesBenz electric vehicles. The front end is dominated by a connected high-performance LED headlamps and in the middle sits the black panel grille with the tri-star motif strewn all over it. The bumpers on the other hand not just look good but also incorporate aerodynamic aids which sure come in handy on EVs. In profile, the EQS SUV embodies smooth lines which are further accentuated by the flush-fitting door handles. The large windows on the other hand ensure a large and bright cabin. Even the massive 21-inch wheels are all about cheating the air better.
At the back, connected LED taillights add to the charm while the spoiler and rear bumper add to the aerodynamic efficiency of the SUV.
