WHEN IT WAS FIRST LAUNCHED, THE Mahindra XUV400 immediately stood out as an electric vehicle (EV) that was fun to drive. The more we drove it, the more we were convinced that it was remarkable value for money. Mahindra have refreshed their electric SUV and its latest iteration is offered in two variants, the EC Pro and the EL Pro, the latter being available in two battery capacities. The value factor has been carried forward into this facelift as well because it starts from as low as Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

With a 39.4-kWh battery and a claimed range of a generous 456 kilometres, range anxiety was the furthest thing from our minds when we began our day. One thing that could not be ignored was the amount of attention it attracted as we drove along.
