IN TODAY'S DAY AND AGE NO AUTOMOTIVE manufacture can rest on their laurels in the highly competitive SUV market. Mahindra have finally unveiled the next-generation Scorpio-N, albeit after years and years of work. We have been waiting for quite a while now for this new generation Scorpio. there are no repurposed parts from the previous Scorpio in the all-new Scorpio-N was built entirely from scratch. this makes it possible for the all-new Scorpio-N to surpass current segment benchmarks in all key areas, including performance, capability, technology, sophistication, ride and handling, NVH, interiors, and design. But, let’s take a moment to reflect upon the legacy of the Scorpio and what it has done for the Indian automaker.

Mahindra and Mahindra have been producing the Scorpio, a mid-size SUV, since 2002. it was the first Mahindra car created with the international market in mind. the business intended to enter the SUV market in 1996 with a brand-new SUV that could be sold worldwide. the company was able to create a new vehicle from scratch at the cost of Rs 600 crore including upgrades to the manufacturing facility. From concept to finished product, the project took five years. the rest, as they say, is history. Now Mahindra are a well-oiled machine when it comes to developing and creating new products. One look at their portfolio and the fruits of their labour are evident in the Thar and XUV700. So, coming to the Scorpio-N, they had a legacy to live up to and we take a deep dive and see how Mahindra have delivered.
