THE PREVIOUS MORGAN THREE wheeler was a driver's machine you did not have to drive at Mach 3 to enjoy and that made it a real breath of fresh air. Sadly, an inability to get its emissions close enough to fresh air killed off the bike-engined machine, called simply the 3 Wheeler, last year. Do not waste too many tears, though, as this all-new one, the Super 3, is miles better.

No, it does not look quite as mad without an S&S V-twin strapped across the nose, but the jet-age styling is far more sophisticated, as is the substance beneath. The old steel chassis and tin bathtub that passed for a body have been replaced by an aluminium monocoque with superformed aluminium panels, the ancient sliding-pillar suspension makes way for double wishbones, and you get wider (relatively, we are talking 130/90 R20) tyres up front wrapped around stylish disc-style wheels rather than wire rims.
