From biofuels to hydrogen, electric power, and liquefied natural gas (LNG), these fuels are reshaping the way industries operate. This article explores the various aspects of alternative fuels, their impact on the Indian industrial landscape, and the opportunities, challenges, and pathways ahead.

India's Alternative Fuel Landscape

India's national policy on biofuels has paved the way for the exploration and adoption of alternative energy sources. Ethanol and biodiesel, produced from agricultural resources, are gaining traction as cleaner alternatives for transportation and industrial processes. CNG and LNG are rapidly being adopted for cleaner transportation and industrial use, while electric vehicles (EVs) and hydrogen fuel cells are expanding, driven by innovation and infrastructure development.
