Schneider Electric, a global leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, has launched a cutting-edge cooling factory in Bengaluru, India. Spread across approximately 6.5 acres, the facility represents an investment of Rs 100 crore (-10 million euros) and aims to meet India's surging demand for cooling solutions in the data centre sector.
Addressing data centre cooling needs
Pankaj Sharma, EVP of Schneider Electric's Secure Power Division and Data Centre Business, emphasised the factory's role in addressing the challenges of energy volatility and the growing demand for cooling solutions due to the exponential growth of AI. Schneider is making substantial investment of Rs 3,200 crore in India by 2026 signalling its deep commitment to the country's industrial and technological advancement. This investment is aimed at expanding the company's industrial footprint across nine states, with plans to add 12,00,000 square feet of space.
