Reading - A Key Learning Habit

Reading is a foundational skill that often gets taught unconsciously. While we are formally taught alphabets, languages, grammar, and punctuation, reading also becomes the medium to learn and understand every other subject.

Learning is fundamental to our existence something as vital as living and breathing. We learn every moment of our existence consciously and unconsciously. While the institutions of the world have formal curriculums, your interactions in daily life, the people you meet, the messages you sent and read, the visual mediums you access, all take you there. What we learn manifests in ourselves - in the way we think, act and feel. As we grow older, we use the mental structures we build in our younger foundational days to add to the knowledge that we already have acquired and get into the process of learning, relearning and sometimes unlearning. Perhaps the simplest and the most common means of learning is the 'written word' and the habit of imbibing it through reading.
