Singer-songwriter Paul Williams would prefer not to spread the word about Sayulita, Mexico. “If everyone goes, next thing you know, there will be a McDonald’s!” he tells Closer. In Paul’s opinion, this peaceful village on Mexico’s Pacific Coast is perfect as it is. “It’s a little fishing village, and it’s like stepping into the past,” he says. “You half expect to see Robert Mitchum and Errol Flynn drinking at a bar on the beach!” This laid-back destination also boasts art galleries, shopping, authentic restaurants and good conditions for surfing. “It speaks to the romantic in me,” says Paul. “It feels like when I was a kid and I dreamed about running away to Mexico.”
