Her most famous creation in the UK is the ivory and blush tulle wedding gown worn by Lady Gabriella Windsor for her nuptials at Windsor Castle in 2019 a magnificent occasion attended by Queen Elizabeth II and a host of senior royals, including the bride's parents and Luisa's friends, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
So, when another special bride, Lucrezia Bonaccorsi Beccaria - the daughter of Luisa and Sicilian aristocrat Don Lucio Bonaccorsi di Reburdone was dreaming of not one, but seven dresses for her four-day nuptials, also held at a historic castle, she knew who to entrust with the designs: her mother.
CREAM OF THE CROP
"Lucrezia enjoyed being a bride so much," Luisa tells HELLO!. "Every day she wore different dresses in shades of white. It was her idea for the guests to wear cream and white, too," says the designer, whose A-list fans include Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Winslet and Helena Bonham Carter. Queen Camilla, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands and Queen Rania of Jordan have also worn the label. "There was a dress code for each event, and seeing my daughter look so beautiful and happy in the outfits we created will stay with me forever."
Smiling, Lucrezia tells us: "It was the most memorable day of my life. We were surrounded by so much love and I felt overjoyed."
In an intimate ceremony attended by 100 guests, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the country estate's almond trees and olive groves that lead to the Mediterranean Sea, the 35-year-old bride tied the knot with her handsome beau, entrepreneur Giulio Rossi Prodi, on 14 October at her family's spectacular 18th-century castle, Feudo del Castelluccio, in Sicily.
