Prince William, 41, was recording a lighthearted segment for a school radio show tackling the stigma around male mental health when he was asked to join in their spot on Dad Jokes.
He said: "I'm trying to channel Jack Whitehall because most of his jokes are pretty dad-like. I'm going to say a joke which is Charlotte's favourite joke at the moment, which she keeps telling me.
"Knock knock," he began. "Who's there?" replied the pupils. "Interrupting cow," continued the Prince, and when the children began to say:
"Interrupting cow who?" he interrupted with: "Moooo!" making them laugh.
"That's a joke I hear a lot at the moment at home," he told them. "That's the greatest one I could think of. It's clean and it's broadcastable." Comedian Jack also joined in the fun later on social media, joking that the Prince's comments were an "outrageous shading".
ROYAL SURPRISE
William visited St Michael's Church of England High School in Rowley Regis to meet 12-year-old Freddie Hadley, who had issued an invitation to him on X (formerly Twitter) last October asking if he would like to discuss the school's Matrix Project and its #AmIManlyEnough campaign encouraging men and boys to talk about their feelings.
