Of late, Avās Living in Alibaug has been making waves in all the right ways, ushering in a new phase of wellness and luxury residences. Already boasting a roster of influential residents in this elite community, the addition of cricketer Virat Kohli coming on board as Wellness Ambassador hit yet another high note for the team.
In an exclusive chat with HELLO!, Founder and CEO Aditya Kilachand delves into the nuances of the community, as well as the building of Virat’s bespoke villa at this scenic sanctuary.
What was the original concept behind Avās Living?
Avās Wellness is a unique amalgamation of real estate, wellness and technology that come together as a limited number of villas focused on holistic well-being, catering to a niche audience where personalisation and attention to detail are key. Having spent my childhood in Alibaug, I have a lot of fond memories of the town that always makes me crave that sense of serenity and slow pace of life. That’s why I decided to launch the first Avās Wellness property, Avās Living, in Alibaug’s Awas.
The beach is pristine; it’s quiet and close enough to the jetty for convenient commuting (to and from Mumbai). I wanted the community to be focused on wellness beyond the traditional sense of the word, making it a part of everyday life — from the food you eat to the time you sleep. And I’m lucky to have found the right partners in SAOTA, our architects, and Sussanne Khan, our Creative Director, who understood and amplified my vision through their design. The project is also backed by marquee investors and global wellness collaborators, Adar Poonawalla of Serum Institute of India and Gaurav Kapur from the Yes Bank family.
