Born and bred in Kolkata, immersed in a family rich in culture, entrepreneurship and creativity, Hema Bose now defines herself as a “resident of the world, humorously finding myself unable to pick a single place to call home.” She laughs as she tells us how no two days are ever the same in her field of work — which entails the gargantuan task of managing her own luxury consultancy firm, Maison Bose. “Starting my own company was an unexpected journey that began somewhat spontaneously. Maison Bose is an independent brand consultancy that provides personalised and curated solutions for brand elevation, positioning and creative direction. Our work begins with the design process, a deep dive to the research and analysis — an artful journey of adding layers and purpose to a brand’s identity. We pride ourselves on being more than just another agency; we are architects of brand identity and custodians of brand growth,” explains the 35-year-old entrepreneur.

A typical day for Hema starts bright and early, with the morning hours dedicated to catching up on emails and coordinating with her team across various countries. “As an entrepreneur, the hustle never stops, but I embrace it wholeheartedly because fashion is not just my profession but my love — it’s my strength and armour, and I’m immensely grateful for the opportunity to work with what I enjoy,” she says honestly.
