She looked different. On June 2, Jennifer Aniston hit the red carpet to promote her TV series, The Morning Show, at an Emmy Awards consideration event in LA.
"What's wrong with her face, it looks disfigured???" one commenter asked on social media. "Something went wrong with the fillers," wrote another, noting, "She looks swollen." Others branded her a "pillow face" and an "LA puppet face," while one fan implored the actress, "STOP! No more.
Don't have any more procedures." Jen's acknowledged the difficulties that come with getting older in her profession. "There is this pressure in Hollywood to be ageless," she said in 2014.
For years, she navigated those expectations with little criticism. But in recent months, the 55-year-old has been "catching a ton of scrutiny for her seeming overreliance on fillers," says a source close to the star, who claims famous friends as well as fans are worried Jen's "destroying her looks" as she wrestles with growing old gracefully.
EVOLVING FEELINGS
A decade ago, Jen said she was grateful to learn from some of the "mistakes" her peers had made in an attempt to stay forever young. "I am not injecting s--- into my face," she insisted.
"I see them and my heart breaks. I think, 'Oh god, if you only know how much older you look.' They are trying to stop the clock, and all you can see is an insecure person who won't let themselves just age." A lot has changed in 10 years. Jen's reconsidered her feelings, says the source, especially since enjoying success with her current Apple TV+ series.
"Jen's two jobs on The Morning Show, as one of its key creative producers and as a star, are in conflict," explains the source. "Producer Jen needs to keep the quality up, keep the characters and casting interesting, keep the trains running on time.
