John Connally in the torso, wrist and palm and lodging in his thigh. Officials also claimed its “pristine” casing was found on the hospital stretcher of the Lone Star State politician.
But Landis says he discovered the bullet in question embedded in the backseat of the car the men were traveling in — right behind where JFK was sitting — and placed it on the gravely wounded president’s stretcher!
Experts say if Landis’ account is correct, the bullet likely stopped in JFK’s back and was either dislodged by the force of a second shot rocking his bleeding body — or by the attentions of hysterical First Lady Jackie Kennedy!
