Panic over hundreds of undetected cases of paralyzing virus

THE crippling polio virus that once devastated America has reared its ugly head again in the U.S. — nearly 30 years after it was declared eradicated from the Western hemisphere!

Authorities say an unvaccinated young adult in Rockland County, N.Y., was left paralyzed by the bug, and it’s been found in wastewater samples throughout the region. Now there are fears the crippling illness will reach epidemic proportions and spread through America.

“For every case of paralytic polio identified, hundreds more may be undetected,” warns New York Health Commissioner Dr. Mary T. Bassett, who calls the discovery “alarming.”
