She's spoken about her experiences in depth in her Disney+ documentary and Coleen Rooney has S now exclusively told new that reliving some of her most painful moments including the death of her little sister Rosie and her dramatic court battle with Rebekah Vardy - has been far from easy. But it's also been a cathartic process that is finally enabling her to find closure in what has been an emotional and difficult time for her family.
"It was hard," Coleen said. "The interviews got emotional and it brought up memories. It was a really difficult time that I went through and my family went through it with me as well. During the [court] case, even though I was physically there looking after my children, mentally I just wasn't there."
Coleen's new three-part documentary tells her side of what was one of the biggest celebrity scandals of the last few years. It also gives a rare glimpse into Coleen and her husband Wayne's relationship, including Coleen's heartache after Wayne was caught drink-driving in 2017, with "party girl" Laura Simpson in his car.
Making Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story may have been an emotional process, but Coleen, 37, says that putting across her perspective has helped her feel she can finally draw a line under the court saga. She's hoping that once the hype around the documentary dies down, she can look forward to a fresh start in the new year.
