This year, Suzie Wells is dipping her toe back into the dating pool after struggling to find The One.
In a candid chat with new, the 54-year-old and mum of reality stars Billie Shepherd and Sam Faiers exclusively tells us she's "on the lookout for someone" following an unsuccessful stint on celebrity dating app Raya.
It's no secret that Suzie, also a grandmother of six, has had a few failed relationships, including with her daughters' father Lee Faiers, who she split from when the girls were young. She then met Dave Chatwood - who became a stepfather to Billie and Sam – but it wasn’t meant to be.
Now with the help of her daughters, the Family Diaries star is ready to welcome a new year with an open heart. Equally she won’t settle and wants someone who will fit into her close-knit family. Here, Suzie chats about what her dream guy must bring to the table, shares some hilarious dating mishaps, and her glam plans to celebrate her upcoming 55th birthday…
Hi, Suzie! We hear you’re looking for a new man. How has it been going?
My girls signed me up to Raya last year but I didn’t really know how to work it. There must have been something wrong with the location settings because anyone who was contacting me was either from America, Italy or France. It was so funny! Billie and Sam were telling me to just go for it, move abroad and meet someone. Can you imagine? I’d need to uproot my entire life – I’d miss my grandkids far too much.
