Natasha Hamilton has revealed she is on a fitness mission to feel more “comfortable” and “confident” with herself after welcoming her fifth child – a daughter, Kitty – 11 weeks ago.
The Atomic Kitten star works out with a personal trainer twice a week and is doing Peloton sessions at home in a bid to get fit again after feeling like her body didn’t belong to her.
“Being 41 and looking at my body in the mirror every morning, it doesn’t feel like my body. When I look, I’m like, ‘It’s changed so much.’ It’s baby number five, plus it’s my age. I’ve got to be realistic. My body will look different from now on. It’s going to take time,” Natasha said.
Natasha gave birth to Kitty – her first child with husband Charles Gay – on 14 August, three weeks before her due date. Just 12 days after giving birth, the mum-of-five bravely showed off her postpartum body on Instagram. She stood in front of a mirror in nude underwear and defiantly told fans she was embracing her “stretch marks, mummy pouch and thread veins”.
Natasha admitted on a recent Instagram Live that while she felt like she’d wanted to exercise, it took a while for the time to be right.
“At the six-week mark [since having Kitty], my brain felt like I was ready for it, but my body wasn’t. I’ve just taken it really easy. But I’m finally into my fitness journey and getting back fit after having a baby,” she said.
