"TYRONE WANTS TO DO THEN RIGHT THING'

After years of ups and downs, Corrie couple Tyrone and Fiz Dobbs have finally found marital bliss – but that’s all about to change as they face their biggest challenge yet.

The soap’s army of fans were sent into a frenzy when Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) returned to the cobbles with baby Dorin. Alina left Weatherfield in 2021 with viewers suspecting that she was secretly pregnant. Despite telling ex-fiancé Tyrone (Alan Halsall) at the time that she wasn’t expecting before boarding a flight to Romania, she’s back and ready to tell Tyrone that Dorin is his.

While Dorin proves to be a big surprise for Tyrone, Alan, 41, admits that he saw the shock revelation coming. “Well, I definitely know Coronation Street so I knew that this was definitely going to happen,” he chuckles. “And also, all the fans knew as well. I think everyone’s known apart from Tyrone, God bless him.”

”He’s the last person to know anything about his own life anyway, so it worked out quite well,” he says of Alina’s cliffhanger departure almost three years ago.

Alan explains how he’s had a flurry of fans telling him that Alina would be coming back with his baby. “People did cotton on to it very fast.”
