The Queen was in high spirits when she met the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby at Windsor Castle last week.
In the famous Oak Room, Her Majesty was presented with the Canterbury Cross as a mark of thanks for her seven decades on the throne.
The meeting marked the first of the 96-year-old monarch's engagements since her Platinum Jubilee celebrations and she looked suitably summery in a pretty floral shift dress.
Perhaps most conspicuous by its absence was the walking stick that she has been using lately due to her ongoing mobility issues. On this occasion, the Queen was seen standing and smiling while shaking hands with the Archbishop, 66.
