The Prince and Princess of Wales head to Scotland as they return to work after the half-term break

After a relaxing half-term break with their three children, the Prince and Princess of Wales were back at work last week in Scotland, where their playful personalities took centre stage. Known north of the border by their titles of the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, they focused on supporting vulnerable young people and celebrating the work of local charities.

During their first stop, at Burghead Primary School, they met staff from the Outfit Moray charity, which delivers outdoor learning and adventure activity programmes to youngsters. And the couple wasted no time getting stuck in as they skilfully navigated a mountain bike course.

The royal pair were casually dressed for the occasion, with Kate sporting a practical Burberry tartan jacket and a pair of “trumpet” jeans instead of her usual skinny denims. Prince William was also in jeans and a jacket, and both wore red poppies ahead of Remembrance Sunday.
