Nothing says true happiness quite like sunshine, rainbows and two people saying “I do” – and that was certainly the case for BBC Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills and his new husband Sam Vaughan. Love was in the air for the couple as they tied the knot in a sun-soaked ceremony on the Mediterranean coast near Barcelona.
“We both had the most incredible day,” Scott revealed. “To celebrate with all our close friends and family in Spain was so special. We are looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together.”
The 51-year-old DJ and Sam, 35, who spent almost three years as an engaged couple, invited their nearest and dearest to celebrate their marriage on 1 June at Xalet Del Nin in Sitges, Spain, and shared some beautiful photographs of their big day with fans.
The loved-up pair kept their shades on while they exchanged their wedding vows and sealed the deal with a kiss in front of a dramatic cloud of rainbow-colored smoke fired from pyrotechnic cannons.
To ensure they looked dapper on their walk down the aisle, Sam and Scott had celebrity stylist Stevie B Shindler on hand to help with their wedding wardrobes and they wore matching black tuxedos and bow ties.
The guest list included radio stars Zoe Ball, Rylan Clark and Jordan North, as well as DJ Calvin Harris and his wife Vick Hope. Scott’s former co-host Chris Stark was the master of ceremonies, while other talented friends got involved in the day’s entertainment.
