She’s the biggest pop star in the world right now, so whoever is on Taylor Swift’s arm is automatically going to attract some serious public attention.
And when the 34-year-old megastar and her latest boyfriend, Travis Kelce, showed off their blossoming relationship for the cameras yet again at the recent Super Bowl, the eyes of the world were firmly glued to them.
Travis, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs – the team who defeated the San Francisco 49ers on the night – was already well known in his own right. But since he and Taylor began dating last autumn, they’ve become the world’s latest obsession, with Swifties and NFL fans alike in a frenzy about their romance. It’s said Taylor has even attracted a whole new audience to American Football.
But will the pair last the course? Some fans have offered conspiracy theories that the relationship is “fake”, but body language expert Darren Stanton, despite his early doubts, thinks all the signs point to Taylor and Travis being the real deal.
“I was sceptical of this relationship in the early stages, but because Taylor is now so full-on with her emotions, I think this is a real relationship,” Darren told OK!. “She’s being true and consistent in her emotions and her feelings towards Travis.
“This is not a PR stunt, this is a genuine relationship. She clearly loves him and he loves her, and she’s not afraid to show that in public.”
Being Taylor’s partner has naturally catapulted NFL hero Travis, 34, towards a whole other level of global attention – one could call it the “Taylor Swift effect”.
