Joran van der Sloot Finally Confesses: 'I KILLED NATALEE'

EIGHTEEN years after her daughter disappeared, Beth Holloway faced Natalee Holloway’s admitted killer in a Birmingham, Ala., court Oct. 18. She wanted Joran van der Sloot, the father of a 9-year-old girl, to feel her pain.

“Imagine one day you get a call that your daughter has vanished, then you find out years later that a big bully who forced himself on her didn’t get what he wanted, so he violently murdered her,” she said in her impact statement. “Imagine that.”

Van der Sloot, long a suspect in the murder of 18-year-old Natalee, had finally admitted his guilt. The 36-year-old, who is serving a 28-year prison sentence in Peru for the murder of 21-year-old student Stephany Flores, made the admission as he pleaded guilty of extortion. “Not knowing what became of Natalee caused anguish for her family, it was agony not knowing what happened to her with no trace of her body,” an insider tells Star. Now there’s at least closure. “It’s over,” Beth said in a press conference after the hearing. “I’m satisfied knowing that he did it, he did it alone and he disposed of her alone.”
