It was exactly what they needed. Days before the April 17 premiere of Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly Ripa and hubby Mark Consuelos jetted to the private island of Mustique for a little last-minute R&R.
“We really wanted to get away, be with each other and connect before the show,” Ripa, 52, tells Us, sharing exclusive photos from their trip. “We’d been working together at home, but getting away and connecting was important to us.” While they made sure to put romance first, Consuelos, also 52, admits a bit of office chatter was inevitable.
