Jennifer Lawrence BACK WITH A BANG

It’s been over a decade since Jennifer Lawrence first rose to fame when she was cast as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games and quickly became a Hollywood fixture with scene-stealing roles in Silver Linings Playbook, the X-Men franchise and Joy. And after a recent hiatus to welcome her first child into the world, the 32-year-old has re-entered movie star mode with aplomb with her new film, No Hard Feelings. “Whatever I was feeling while making that movie, if that’s my sweet spot, then I don’t ever want to do anything else,” the star recently told pal Cameron Diaz in a chat for Interview magazine. “It was a blast.”

Lawrence’s casting in the R-rated comedy is certainly a stark departure from the many dramatic roles she has played in the past. But the actress insists that something like this has always been on her agenda. “I’ve always wanted to do comedy and I’ve been asked a million times. I was never against it, but you’ve seen the movies that come out. I don’t want to name anything specifically, but there hasn’t been anything that funny,” she explained. “I’d read these comedies and nothing made me laugh out loud or really moved me. Then I read this script, and I had never read anything so funny.”
