KEEPING UP WITH GYPSY ROSE

With honey blonde highlights, a mouth full of new veneers and some recent work on her nose, Gypsy Rose Blanchard is almost unrecognisable from the girl who walked out of Missouri’s Chillicothe Correctional Center in December. Eager to make up for lost time, her appearance is the least of the changes she’s made over the last six months.

After serving seven years of her decadelong sentence for the second-degree murder of her abusive mother, Dee Dee, Gypsy Rose is on a mission to find herself, which has seen her film a reality series, separate from her husband, Ryan Anderson, and reconcile with her ex Ken Urker.

“I’d describe the Gypsy Rose who went into prison as someone who was very lost and confused,” she told People magazine. “Now she’s a little bit more wise, has a little bit more experience under her belt and is still very hopeful for the future.”

But her biggest change is yet to come, whether she is ready for it or not. On July 9, the 32-year-old announced she is expecting her first child with Ken. The infant is due in January.
