MEGHAN & HARRY Plotting their revenge

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex alighted their chauffeur-driven SUV last week, bundled W up against the pouring Los Angeles rain, they had smiles plastered on their faces. But insiders say it masked their "shock and sadness" over news that had broken just hours earlier King Charles was kicking them out of their secure UK bolthole, Frogmore Cottage.

A bombshell report from UK's The Sun newspaper revealed Harry's dad had taken Frogmore away from them in response to the duke's memoir, Spare, leaving the young family with no alternative UK address.

The Sussexes confirmed the news via their own rep, who released a statement saying they had been "requested to vacate" the 222-year-old renovated former workers' quarters on Windsor Castle grounds. The home was gifted to Meghan, 41, and Harry, 38, by the Queen for their 2018 wedding, and the couple later had to reimburse the taxpayer $4 million in renovation costs after quitting royal life.

At the time, and with the now late Queen's blessing, they signed a long-term lease and briefly sublet it to Harry's cousin, Princess Eugenie, before she moved her family into a cottage at London's Kensington Palace.
