It's a long flight from Madrid to Sydney, but that didn't stop Queen Letizia from making the journey to cheer on Spain's team during the FIFA Women's World Cup final on August 20. And her attendance turned out to be lucky for the team after they graciously beat Britain during a nail-biting 1-0 match.
As the whistle sounded and it was clear that La Roja (The Red One) were victorious, the 50-year-old Queen was seen pumping her fist in the air as she jumped up to cheer. Letizia and her daughter Infanta Sofía, 16, then joined the girls on the field, dancing and posing with the trophy.
