In Black Bird, the 32-year-old portrays high school football star Jimmy Keene, who was sentenced to a decade in prison for drug trafficking. Keene is thrown a lifeline when he takes up an offer to enter a maximum security jail to extract information from a suspected serial killer. What makes this storyline all the more nail-biting is that it's true to life.
