Rejecting an attempt to force her to get help, Britney Spears takes charge of her own health

That same day, her loved ones were plotting to keep her from falling even further. Concerned that she was spiraling again more than a year after her strict 13-year conservatorship was lifted, and reportedly "afraid for her life," Britney's husband, Sam Asghari, and other members of her inner circle had scheduled an intervention. "But Britney got wind of it and freaked out about being 'trapped' so, needless to say, it was a total failure," a source tells In Touch. "Fortunately, she did agree to meet with a doctor, but everyone's still worried."
