Uh-oh! The singer’s new rock star lover, Matty Healy, has a dark past

He’s been officially welcomed by her squad. In the crowd for her Eras show at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on May 6, Taylor Swift’s new beau, the 1975 frontman Matty Healy, hung out with the singer’s longtime pals supermodels Lily Aldridge and Gigi Hadid. “They were all having a blast,” says a witness. “Gigi even gave him a playful shoulder squeeze.”

But Gigi and the rest of the squad are also keeping an eye on Matty (who, incidentally, attended all three of Taylor’s tour dates in Nashville). “They’re concerned he could be bad news because he’s got a dark past,” a source says of the English rock star, who’s battled drug addiction and has made headlines for his erratic behavior. The pair had a brief fling nearly a decade ago that was cut short in part by his issues, says the source, but they reconnected right around the time her six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn ended. She was even photographed taking Matty home to her Nashville condo after the May 6 concert. “Taylor was down for having fun, and their chemistry is off the charts,” says the source. “He definitely has an edge, but that’s what attracted her to him.”
