It was morning. All the people in the house were busy with their work. Krish stood on the balcony and enjoyed the view outside. The sun was peeking through the trees, birds were chirping, the cuckoo was singing, there was greenery all around. Only a few people were around. He had never seen such fascinating scenes before. Everything was new and pleasant for Krish.
Looking around, Krish noticed an egg on his book rack in the balcony. Krish picked up the egg thinking it was a small ball. He turned it around and realized, "Oh wow! It is an egg!" He had seen his mother making an omelette.
He ran to his mother, Rekha, and said, "Mummy, look, I found an egg!"
Rekha saw the egg in Krish's hand and asked, "Where did you find this?"
Krish pointed towards the balcony and replied, "In the book rack."
"In the rack? But where did the egg come from?"
"I don't know, Mummy. But I found it there."
"Okay, go and throw it in the dustbin."
"Why? I have found it; I will not throw it in the dustbin!" Krish said adamantly.
Then Rekha said, "Beta, we don't know what kind of an egg it is and where it has come from. Throw this egg in the dustbin. I will get many such eggs for you."
Krish obeyed his mother and threw the egg in the dustbin.
Next morning, Krish was again playing in the balcony, when he saw another egg in the book rack.
His face lit up. He waved to the egg and said, "Hello Mr. Egg! You have come again! I threw you in the dustbin yesterday, didn't you like it there?"
