Continuing with PNY's XLR8 gear, we have included the CS3140 SSD into this PC. As we didn't want to disrupt the design of our NZXT N7 motherboard, we opted for the non-heatsink variant, although that does look like an impressive component.
This M.2 SSD has a PCle Gen4 x4 interface, low power consumption, and 1TB of capacity. It will be able to boot open our games and over-clocking software with minimal load times, exactly what you want when building a gaming powerhouse.
The PNY XLR8 CS3140 boasts impressive speed as well. With sequential read speeds of up to 7500 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6850 MB/s, making this a worthy component to be included in our rig.
In hindsight and for better futureproofing, the 2TB model is more appealing-although it does cost an additional $97 over the smaller model we have included here.
