5 DELICACIES TO TRY AT KEMBARA, MUMBAI

A dramatic curved light installation crafted from natural cane hangs over the light and airy space that is Kembara in Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex. A warm glow lights up the all-natural decor elements in a pastel palette.

Mirrors on the lime-plastered walls create an illusion of space. The bar area features a repeating pattern in wood that is distinctively Japanese in influence. Fittingly, Kembara is where Chef Seefah Ketchaiyo brings Mumbai her take on dishes from Thailand, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Korea and, of course, Japan. 'Kembara' comes from the Malay for "to wander," and the menu is truly a meandering through handpicked Asian classics albeit with her own little twists.
