EMBRACING THE BEAUTY OF GOODNESS
Femina|June 2023
With Beautiful Indians 2023, Femina and Mamaearth united once again to celebrate individuals, creators and celebrities who are making this world better through their good actions.

EMBRACING THE BEAUTY OF GOODNESS

While the word ‘beautiful’ might evoke different meanings for different individuals, our belief is that genuine beauty stems from good deeds and actions. Going beyond physical appearances and aesthetics, goodness dwells within our noble deeds. It’s in the doctor who is treating economically-disadvantaged sections of society for a mere 10 rupees or the young climate crusader who is going above and beyond to protect nesting turtles or the 70-year-old cancer survivor making drinking water accessible to all – these are the people who epitomise the essence of genuine beauty.

Building upon the success of its Season 1 last year, Femina and Mamaearth reunite to commemorate the power of goodness through Beautiful Indians Season 2, celebrating extraordinary individuals, creators, and celebrities who, through their selflessness, empathy, and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact, are transforming the world. Serving as a sincere tribute to goodness ambassadors from all corners of the nation, the Femina and Mamaearth Present Beautiful Indians award ceremony was held on May 18, 2023, at The St Regis Mumbai. It was emceed by charismatic actor Karan Wahi.

MEET THE JURY

The call for entries brought us thousands of entries. The goodness ambassadors we celebrated were chosen by our jury after careful consideration of who truly encapsulate the essence of this very accolade. Our esteemed panel featured co-founders of Mamaearth Ghazal Alagh and Varun Alagh; Femina Editor-in-Chief Ambika Muttoo; Executive Director of the Hothur Foundation Kulsum Shadab Wahab; transgender rights activist Shreegauri Sawant; filmmaker and writer Ashwini lyer Tiwari; actor Rasika Dugal; and founder of Simply Blood Kiran Verma.
