→FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE It seems the magic has fizzled out in J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. This third (and final?) Fantastic Beasts movie looks a lot like a $200m obligation to wrap up what was once Warner Bros' golden goose franchise.
After the dismal Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) it's hardly surprising that this follow-up is equally terrible. Once again the rambling script (by Rowling and Steve Kloves) is a jumbled mess of half-baked storylines, inconsistent characterisation, and arcane franchise lore. What's worse is that ... The Secrets of Dumbledore is just so incredibly dull. Sure, there's lots of important 'stuff' going on, but it's next to impossible to care about any of it. Heck, outside of a giant scorpion and some magical deer, there are hardly even any 'Fantastic Beasts' in the film.
