After rocking out in The Muppet Show since 1975 and having starred in several Muppets movies, the show’s house band Electric Mayhem finally have their own series.
Disney+’s 10-part musical comedy The Muppets Mayhem follows the six-piece group – Dr Teeth, Animal, Zoot, Janice, Lips and Floyd Pepper, all loosely based on real-life music icons – as they team up with go-getting music executive Nora (Lilly Singh) to record their first-ever studio album.
But although Nora has grand plans to turn them into a global success, the old-school rockers struggle when they come face to face with the current music scene, and Nora finds herself having to drag them into the 21st century.
