Formed in the early 1960s by Californian brothers Brian, Carl and Dennis Wilson, along with their cousin Mike Love and friend AI Jardine, The Beach Boys shot to fame singing upbeat songs about cars, girls and surfing, featuring multilayered vocal harmonies.
'I grew up with Brian, and we were always looking for someone who could blend vocally as well as harmonise, recalls lead singer Mike, one of the contributors to the new Disney+ retrospective The Beach Boys.
