Travellers, aristocracy and rich folk, beware! A fearless outlaw with supernatural powers is prowling the highways of 18th-century England in a swashbuckling fantasy adventure from Happy Valley and Gentleman Jack creator Sally Wainwright.
Set in 1705, the eight-part series follows smart and stubborn Londoner Nell Jackson (Derry Girls’ Louisa Harland), who returns from war in Europe to her home in Tottenham, only to find herself framed for murder when she makes an enemy in a local landowner’s son, Thomas Blancheford.
FORMIDABLE FORCE
While on the run with her two younger sisters, Roxy and George (Bo Bragason and Florence Keen), Nell gains notoriety as a formidable highwaywoman when word spreads of her extraordinary fighting powers, which are granted to her by a fairy-like creature named Billy Blind (Nick Mohammed).
