Dara Ó Briain finds himself scarily close to an erupting volcano for his latest TV series, Volcano with Dara Ó Briain, when he travels to Italy, a hotbed of volcanic activity. Across two episodes, the comedian visits the country's most active and dangerous volcanoes - Mount Etna, Campi Flegrei, Stromboli and Vesuvius, famous for its AD 79 eruption that wiped out Pompeii.
He also enters a lava cave, learns how scientists use thermal imaging to scan for rising magma, and witnesses Stromboli's fiery lava fountains.
