German shepherd crime-fighter Rex bounds back on to our screens this week as Canadian cop series Hudson & Rex returns to Alibi for a fifth series.
John Reardon, who plays the dog's human sidekick, Detective Charlie Hudson, insists that he doesn't have a problem with the pooch stealing the show as the pair investigate cases in and around Newfoundland's capital city of St John's.
'Rex is played by a dog called Diesel, and he is what makes our show special,' says Reardon. I've worked with animals in the past, but none have been nearly as capable as Diesel.
