NEW TRAVELOGUE
Ricky, Sue and a Trip or Two
Tuesday, 9pm, More4
It's more than 40 years since Ricky Tomlinson and Sue Johnston first appeared on screen together as married couple Bobby and Sheila Grant in C4 soap Brookside.
Now, the actors, who also played married couple Jim and Barbara Royle in BBC comedy The Royle Family, are reuniting for a nostalgic three-part road trip to the Midlands, North Wales and, this week, their home city of Liverpool.
Along the way, they'll be meeting some famous faces, visiting old haunts and less familiar destinations, and trying out some unusual activities.
Treats in store in the first episode include a trip to the famous Cavern Club, where Johnston shares memories of her friendship with Sir Paul McCartney during The Beatles' heyday, and a tour of Anfield, home of their beloved Liverpool FC, where they meet former Liverpool and England footballer John Barnes.
