PETER PAN & WENDY

NEW FROM FRIDAY 28 APRIL,  DISNEY+ FANTASY DRAMA

Get ready to embark on a magical, swashbuckling journey to Neverland in Disney+’s Peter Pan & Wendy.

The live-action spin on JM Barrie’s beloved fantasy novel begins with spirited young Wendy Darling (Ever Anderson) worried about the prospect of going to boarding school. But then a swaggering Peter Pan (Alexander Molony), who has no intention of ever growing up, arrives and, along with his fiery fairy friend Tinker Bell (Yara Shahidi), whisks Wendy and her younger brothers away to his home in Neverland.

There, the children befriend Peter’s gang of ragamuffins, the Lost Boys, and courageous princess Tiger Lily (Alyssa Wapanatâhk). However, casting a shadow over their fun is Peter’s nemesis Captain Hook, played by Jude Law, and his crew of pirates.

Here, in an exclusive chat, rising star Alexander, 16, tells us about his awfully big adventure…

This is your film debut – how have you found it?

Absolutely amazing! I loved every minute. The only bit I didn’t love was filming in a crazy heatwave in Vancouver. But we had water fights to cool off!

What was the appeal of starring in Peter Pan & Wendy?

This is an updated version of the classic story, but with the same action and adventure. I come from a family that loves Disney, so the chance to star as such an iconic character was a dream come true. It was great to channel some of my own inner Peter Pan into the role!

The film marks the 70th anniversary of the original Disney animated version. Why do you think the story is so timeless?
