Ruby flounders as both her father and her daughter come back into her life

Given the numerous mentions of Ruby and Caleb’s daughter Steph over the past month – a woman who hadn’t previously been mentioned at all – it was inevitable that the 30-something would rock up in the village.

This week, our Rubes is in a tizz following the blonde’s unexpected arrival, and just as she’s getting a grip on things, another blast from the past arrives in the shape of her estranged dad Anthony.

Steph has turned up to collect her inheritance from her grandma Helen. Although her relationship with both parents is strained, things are particularly tense between her and Ruby, and Caleb is told by his wife to clear off for a bit so they can thrash things out.
