She'd be an amazing LANDLADY!

CORONATION STREET MON, WED & FRI, 8PM, ITV1 SOAP

It has been a quiet few years for Stephanie Davis but the 30-year-old, who first came to the attention of TV viewers in the BBC1 talent show Over the Rainbow and then went on to star in Hollyoaks as Sinead O'Connor, is back on our screens with a bang playing Corrie's glamorous temptress Courtney Vance.

Bored and feeling neglected by husband Darren, Courtney has embarked on a steamy affair with teenager Aadi Alahan, who's been working for Darren, and there are fireworks this week when the pair are caught out. But could even bigger dramas be on the cards? In an exclusive interview with TV Times, Stephanie tells us more...

Corrie marks your acting comeback after you quit Hollyoaks in 2019. Why did you step away?

When I was on Hollyoaks, I was up at 5am and not home until nine in the evening. My little boy Caben [Stephanie's six-year-old son with ex-boyfriend and Celebrity Big Brother co-star Jeremy McConnell] would be asleep, and I hardly saw him. I needed to take a few years off to be there for him, as that time goes so fast.

I said to my partner Joe [Mckalroy] recently that I was really missing acting, and just knew it was my time to come back. He suggested I get a new agent and see what happened. In the first meeting, I said to her, 'I want to do Corrie...and throw in a panto for Christmas!' Days later, this part came up. I read it, and straight away, I was like, "That's mine!"

What made you respond to Courtney in that way?
