STARSTRUCK

NEW SATURDAY, 8.30PM, ITV1 ENTERTAINMENT

Contestants will have a new judge to impress when ITVI's singing spectacular Starstruck bursts back on to our screens this week for a second season: country-pop icon Shania Twain! The award-winning Canadian singer and songwriter, whose hits include You're Still the One and Man! I Feel like a Woman!, replaces Sheridan Smith on the panel and joins returning experts Adam Lambert,

Beverley Knight and Jason Manford as more members of the public undergo extraordinary makeovers to be transformed into their music idols.

Shania's great, it's like we've all known her for years, it's a real family,' smiles pop star and The Voice UK coach Olly Murs, 38, who's back at the helm.

'Series two is more fun with loads of surprises in store. It's gone up a notch with the audience, the judges, the banter and the performances!'

The new run will again see hopefuls form a trio with others who love the same superstar, with four teams battling it out in each episode. The bill this time includes tributes to Dolly Parton, Frank Sinatra, Sir Tom Jones, Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift.

Here, Shania, 57, tells us why it's proving a dream gig...

What kind of judge are you?

I would say I'm an inspired judge. I'm inspired by the personalities of the talent, and their life stories really move me. I'm always considering how inspired I am - that's where I'm coming from when I'm giving them any feedback.

Have the other panellists and host Olly helped you to settle in?
