STARRY NIGHT

BAFTA TV AWARDS NEW SUNDAY, 7PM, BBC1 AWARDS

When TV Times arrives at a hotel on London's South Bank to chat to Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan about hosting this year's BAFTA TV Awards, we can hear them chuckling away together from along the corridor!

As we sit down to discuss their preparations for the big night, they're clearly thrilled to be overseeing proceedings at the glittering ceremony, which is being held at the capital's Royal Festival Hall and will air on BBC1, for the second year running.

'I'm relieved! You want to be asked back, you don't want to be the one-hit wonder!' grins Rob, 38, as Romesh, 46, adds with a laugh: 'But we'll get cocky now and be a disaster!" Here, the comedians tell us why they can't wait to celebrate more small-screen triumphs...

Is it exciting to be presenting the BAFTA TV Awards again?

ROMESH Yes, it's a big deal to host it, and doing it with Rob, who's a friend, is a laugh. We have different styles but we find the same things funny.

ROB It is enjoyable and easier doing it together, because if you're on your own, it can get overwhelming.
